Active wine cooler (with cooling element)

You can use the active cooler to quickly bring a bottle to the right temperature or to keep it extra cold.

1. Place the cooling element in the freezer for at least 6 hours .
   
2. Once frozen, simply slide the element over the bottle.
   
3. Within a few minutes the wine cools noticeably.
   

The flexible fit ensures that cool air circulates evenly around the bottle. Perfect for spontaneous drinks or warm summer days.

Stainless steel double-walled wine cooler

The stainless steel cooler is not active, but keeps a chilled bottle at the right temperature for longer .

1. First cool the wine in the refrigerator to the desired temperature.
   
2. Then place the bottle in the cooler — the double wall of insulating air will keep the cold in without condensation forming on the outside.

What is the difference between an active and a stainless steel wine cooler?

An active wine cooler contains a freezing element that actively cools the bottle. Ideal when the wine isn't cold enough yet or on warm days.

A stainless steel double-walled cooler does not cool itself, but keeps an already cooled bottle at the right temperature for longer thanks to the insulating double wall.

How do I use an active wine cooler?

Place the cooling element in the freezer for at least 6 hours . Then slide it over the bottle – the temperature will drop noticeably within a few minutes.

Can I always store the active cooler in the freezer?

Yes. This way, it's always ready for use. Just make sure the element is dry before replacing it to prevent condensation.

How long does wine stay cool in a double-walled stainless steel cooler?

On average , 2 to 3 hours , depending on the ambient temperature. The double wall prevents heat transfer and keeps the bottle at the ideal drinking temperature for longer.

Does every bottle fit in the Mémoire wine coolers?

Our coolers are designed to fit most standard wine and champagne bottles. For extra-wide bottles (such as some sparkling wines), a slightly looser fit may occur, without affecting performance.

Can a stainless steel wine cooler be placed in the refrigerator or freezer?

That's not necessary. The insulating function works best at room temperature and optimally retains the bottle's coldness.
